Experience the Mississippi River as it was first discovered, while paddling! The Quad Cities area is rich with water. Paddling conditions on the Mississippi and Rock Rivers are perfect for multi-day excursions with camping access, afternoon urban getaways, and getting in touch with nature for all levels of paddlers. The 45 miles of Quad Cities Water Trails also tie directly into 73 miles of recreational trails for exceptional cycling and hiking.

Student Video Competition Winners

In 2020 River Action and Fresh Films founded the QC Environmental Film Series, and to go with it, a short film competition for students. Students from middle school through college were given the opportunity to attend a workshop in September with a professional videographer. At the workshop they were shown how to write, shoot, and edit their videos. Film submissions of 3-5 minutes were accepted through the fall. There were three categories based on age groups; middle school, high school, and college. Each winner was given a $100 prize, and their teacher was also given $150 to use in the classroom.
