River Action's 35th Annual Father's Day Family Bike Ride June 16

Celebrate the 35th anniversary of Ride the River by enjoying a bi-state tour of the Quad Cities along riverfront bike trails. Packet Pickup and Headquarters will be at the Downtown Davenport YMCA, 606 W. 2nd Street.

The ride will start at the Y on 2nd Street and head east (one way only; obey all traffic signals!) to the Government Bridge into the Davenport gate to cross Arsenal Island. Follow the marked trail to Moline, then take the bike path east (up river) to Celebration Belle dock in Moline.

Board the riverboat at either 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. for a cruise with a close-up view of the new I-74 bridge construction area. Bikes can be left in a secure area at the dock. After the cruise, continue east through Moline to The Bend in East Moline, go left on Bend Boulevard to Hyatt Place. Bikes can be left in a secure area behind the hotel while kids explore Tales on the Trail and Rest & Read hosted by River Cities Rotary. Grab a hot dog or hamburger from Hyatt's grill, or just head up to the 9th floor River Room for our 35th birthday cake and ice cream and spectacular river views.

Access the bike trail behind the hotel for a quick trip up to The Quarter, then turn around and head back down river to Schwiebert Park in Rock Island. (Water on trail east of John Deere Harvester Works!) Enjoy food vendors, family games, and the splash pad! The final stretch is one-way north on Centennial Bridge back into Davenport and end at YMCA headquarters.

Come join the fun with the whole family for this Father's Day tradition!
