Riders may register using one of several ways:

  • Mail in payment with the registration form included in the brochure.
  • Stop by the River Action office at 822 E. River Drive, Davenport - Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Each pre-registered group will receive a mailed confirmation.

Everyone registered will be entered for a chance to win a year subscription to the QCTimes!

You can also register during Packet Pickup:

  • Saturday, June 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Quad City Times, 500 E. 3rd Street, Davenport.
  • Sunday June 18 from 6 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Quad City Times, 500 E. 3rd Street, Davenport.

Saturday Packet Pickup location

Pick up your ride packet at the Quad City Times, 500 E. 3rd Street, Davenport - on Saturday, June 17 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Helmets are strongly recommended for all riders. They are mandatory for riders under 18. Registered riders can purchase helmets at the event: youth $5; adult $10. The reduced prices are made possible by support from the Quad City Bicycle Club.

Your participation in Ride the River helps River Action fulfill its mission of making the riverfront a healthful and livable environment for all. You could also consider a membership to River Action and enjoy other great events year round.

Friends of Ride the River

Consider joining Friends of Ride the River where your tax-deductible donation of $50 or more ($100 for businesses) helps ensure the vitality of this community event for years to come. Just mark this option on the registration form. Friends are recognized in a special listing on the ride map.

Plan your own ride! The basic route is marked on the map, but there are many optional trails and loops for rides of up to 60 miles with lots to see along the way. Begin at the Quad City Times, Davenport, proceed to Leach Park, Bettendorf, and cross the Mississippi River to Moline on the Celebration Belle. You can return to Davenport via Arsenal Bridge (open until 3 p.m.) or Centennial Bridge (open until 3:30 p.m.)

All total, you can trailblaze through nine local communities.

Riverboat Crossing

From Bettendorf, cross the Mississippi aboard the Mississippi Belle riverboat while your bike goes on a barge. At the Illinois landing, grab your bike and continue your ride. The Celebration Belle will be departing from Leach Park in Bettendorf at 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30 am.

Pop-Up Park

A pop-up park will be set up at the Moline Rowing Club at the foot of 17th street in Moline. There will be a grill and refreshments along with various games for the whole family!

Rock Island Botanical Center

The Botanical Center will be free to all riders. There will be ice cream, cookies, and a water fountain available to all riders.

This year River Action has partnered with Mississippi Bend Trykes, our local lchapter of AMBUCS International, to build specialized tricycles for children with disabilities. We will be building the trykes during Packet Pick-Up on June 17th between 9 am and 1 pm at the Quad City Times at 500 E 3rd St, in Davenport. Aboard the Celebration Belle this year will be the Brain Minder puppet show brought to us by the Moline Pilot Club. The Pilot Club's Brain Minder program encourages children to wear helmets and protect themselves from concussions. They will have their puppet show and a booth set up with crayons and hand outs on the top floor of the Celebration Belle.
