Student Poster Abstract Submission
River Action is calling for poster presentations to be exhibited at the poster session during the Upper Mississippi River Conference, Oct. 24-25, 2018, at Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center, Moline, Illinois. This conference brings together planners, elected officials, architects, engineers, environmental groups, developers, educators, and students to focus on the Upper Mississippi River and its stakeholders in the region.
Now is your chance to share your success stories and projects around America’s greatest river and the topics featured at this year’s conference:
- Healthy watersheds
- Floodplain management
- Community resiliency
- Water quality
- Nutrient management
- Flood risk management
Those selected will have the opportunity to display and discuss their posters as part of a poster exhibition on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018. Applicants will be notified by email whether the abstract has been accepted.
Presenters must be registered attendees of the conference. Student registrations are available at a reduced rate and include admission to all sessions, continental breakfasts, lunches and dinner on Wednesday if registered for that day:
Full conference >> Early-bird by Sept. 14, 2018 - $25; After Sept. 14 - $40
Single day >> Early-bird by Sept. 14, 2018 - $15; After Sept. 14 - $25
The deadline for abstract submission is Sept. 21, 2018. Abstracts must be 300 words maximum. Please include the objectives, location, methods, and results of the project in the abstract.
