Upper Mississippi Grant Writers’ Workshop part of Upper Mississippi River Conference
Need advice on getting your funding request opened? Asking for the right gift amount? Reactivating donors? Designing your campaign? UMRG members were treated to answers to these questions and learned the value of collaboration at the Second Annual Grant Writers Workshop, i-Wireless center, Moline, August 25, 2010. The workshop was sponsored by River Action.
The program featured Raymond German, Principal, BMG Associates, Inc., a full-service fundraising consulting company with clients in a 10-state region of the Midwest and plains. He earned a Certified Fund Raising Executive designation in 1992 and has held it continuously since that time.
His talk “Wants and Needs: where asking and giving meet” kicked off the workshop followed by first hand reporting from funders. The workshop strived to reinforce collaborations and partnerships in program and project building.
Registrants to the Upper Mississippi River Conference at the i-wireless Center, August 25-27 attended the workshop at no cost.
For more information on upcoming workshops or to join the UMRG, call 563-322-2969.
